Details

Start for Life services are those available to families during the critical 1,001 days from a child’s conception to age 2.

The government asked Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to carry out a joint thematic review of Start for Life services. This includes looking at how services are provided through the family hub model.

This report:

  • provides recommendations to improve families’ experiences of Start for Life services and how they are provided through the family hub model
  • highlights examples of good practice that we identified in the 6 local areas visited
