Details

The £10 million Starter Homes Local Authority Funding Programme is designed to accelerate the supply of local authority land available for exemplar Starter Homes development. The funding will help local authorities prepare vacant and underused brownfield land so that high-quality homes can be made available for first time buyers and contribute to government’s target of 200,000 Starter Homes over the course of this parliament.

Funding will be made on a grant funding non-recoverable basis and must be spent by March 2016 so that Starter Homes can be built in 2017 to 2018.
