This White Paper sets out the European Communities Budget for 2005 as adopted by the European Parliament, and the UK’s gross and net contributions to the EC Budget over the years 1999 - 2004, together with an estimate for 2005. It also includes details of recent developments in EC financial management and the fight against fraud. This Statement is the 25th in the series of annual statements to Parliament.

This Command Paper was laid before Parliament by a Government Minister by Command of Her Majesty. Command Papers are considered by the Government to be of interest to Parliament but are not required to be presented by legislation.
