Details
STEM ReCharge was a government-funded pilot programme commissioned under the 2022 to 2024 Sunak Conservative government.
The programme supported people returning to careers in the technology and engineering sectors in the Midlands and the North of England. It also supported employers in the same sectors and regions to recruit people returning to work. It was delivered between February 2023 to July 2024 by Career Returners (previously Women Returners) and STEM Returners.
This report details findings from the Office for Equality and Opportunity’s evaluation of the programme. The objectives of the evaluation were to understand the programme’s aims, how it was delivered and to assess initial indicators of its effectiveness.
