Details

The government has published an equality impact assessment (EIA) that was completed for the Home Secretary to make a decision on relaxing conditions needed for a section 60 order to be enacted.

The EIA demonstrates the government’s compliance with the public sector equality duty and is being published for transparency.

Equality impact assessments undertaken in relation to decisions to pilot relaxations of the use of section 60 stop and search powers were published in 2019.
