Closed consultation that sought views on proposals to develop options for strengthening the competition regime and creating a single competition and markets authority (CMA). It aims to improve the robustness of decisions, support competition authorities in taking forward high impact cases, and improve speed and predictability for business. See also impact assessment URN 11/758. Consultation period ended 13 June 2011. The Government response is 12/512.
