The Committee published its report Strengthening Transparency Around Lobbying on 5 November 2013.
The Committee began a review early in 2013 to apply the Nolan principles to lobbying and consider how best the lobbied and lobbyists can best live out those principles. As well as a call for evidence, the Committee held a seminar with those involved in lobbying. The Committee has concluded that a package of measures is urgently required to deliver a greater culture of openness and transparency around lobbying; provide greater clarity for public office holders on the standards expected of them; and to reassure the public that a more ethical approach to lobbying is actively being applied by all those involved in lobbying.
