The research looked at the needs and experiences of children and young people joining family under the Dublin III Regulation and the local authorities that support them. The report looks at:
- quantitative data on the arrangements and outcomes of children transferred under Dublin III
- the experiences of a range of children and their families in different circumstances experienced
- the needs of children and their families, and the support they have received
- the most important aspects of the local authority (or local authority facilitated) interventions in supporting children to remain with families, where this is the best outcome
- the factors causing arrangements to breakdown and how they can be prevented
- the main challenges for local authorities as facilitators of these arrangements
