To ensure that the register of forensic pathologists can be relied on to indicate definitively which forensic pathologists are suitable for the register, the Home Secretary has issued these rules to deal with pathologists whose conduct, (including malpractice and misconduct) professional performance or state of health calls into question whether they should remain on the register.
