Summerleaze Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from from the Shepperton Gravel Principal Aquifer within the area defined by National Grid References TQ 02193 76886, TQ 02391 76728, TQ 02100 76126 and TQ 01856 76178 to transfer it to the same aquifer at National Grid Reference TQ 02053 76310 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 193 cubic metres an hour
  • 4,635 cubic metres a day
  • 1,691,775 cubic metres a year

The water will be used for the purpose of dewatering.
