On 20 January 2025 Hamish Falconer, Minister for North Africa and the Middle East visited the United Nations to call for full implementation of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal. He also announced the launch of a UK-led initiative to provide financial and political support for Yemen’s future.

Known as ‘TAFFY’, the initiative will include a technical assistance fund, and bring the international community together to support governance in Yemen.

This document is the UK-Yemen joint communiqué following the co-hosted event for establishing international support for the Government of Yemen.
