I write in response to an email you sent to me on 3 November 2019. You requested information on the number of surveillance cameras in public places (CCTV) by each London borough from 2000 and data showing the increase in the use of Body Worn Video by police force, in England from 2010 held by the Surveillance Camera Commissioner. Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Q1. The number of surveillance cameras in public places (CCTV) by each London borough. If possible, I would like annual data going back to the calendar year 2000.

I am an independent regulator supported by Home Office staff who make use of Home Office systems and resources. I do not hold the information which you have requested. You may consider approaching each London borough and police force individually for the requested information.
