I write in response to the emails you sent to me on 19 May 2020. You requested the following information on inbound and outbound mail:

  • 1. The number of physical posts received from Royal Mail.
  • 2. The number of envelopes received in 2019.
  • 3. Whether the Surveillance Camera Commissioner’s office processes the work inhouse or if it outsourced to a specialist provider.
  • 4. Whether the Surveillance Camera Commissioner’s office sends physical post by the likes of Royal Mail, Whistl or UK Mail.
  • 5. The number of envelopes sent in 2019.
  • 6. Whether the Surveillance Camera Commissioner’s office produces the work inhouse or if it outsourced to a specialist provider.

Q1. Do you send physical post by the likes of Royal Mail, Whistl or UK Mail?

I am an independent regulator supported by Home Office staff who make use of Home Office systems and resources. I do not hold the information which you have requested. You may consider a separate request to be made to the Home Office under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act should you require information regarding matters relevant to the Home Office.
