Details

UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) collects data on all sexual transmitted infection (STI) diagnoses made at sexual health services in England. The report includes information on trends in syphilis tests and diagnoses, as well as the numbers and rates of diagnoses by demographic characteristic and UKHSA public health region.

In June 2019, UKHSA (formerly Public Health England) published a Syphilis Action Plan, outlining 4 pillars of action to address the continued increase in syphilis diagnoses.

Data at lower and upper tier local authority are available on the Sexual and Reproductive Health Profiles.

Provisional STI and NCSP data are available on the Wider Impacts of COVID-19 on Health (WICH) monitoring tool.
