Supplementary transport analysis guidance providing advice and worked examples of 2 methodologies to help overcome the ‘new mode problem’ in transport appraisal – the ‘own-cost’ approach and the ‘alternative mode’ approach.

TAG provides information on the role of transport modelling and appraisal, and how the transport appraisal process supports the development of investment decisions to support a business case.
