Details

Traffic bollards provide a valuable contribution to road safety but too many of them can have a negative impact on the streetscape and energy consumption. This leaflet provides advice on the use of traffic bollards and associated signing for roads with a speed limit of 30 miles per hour or lower. It also covers low level signs sometimes used as an alternative to traffic bollards. It does not cover bollards used to control access or to prevent footway parking or overrunning.
