Details

Monitor and NHS England have published a package of materials designed to assist providers and commissioners to implement the Enhanced Tariff Option in 2015/16.

This includes a guide to which summarises how the Enhanced Tariff Option differs from the proposals set out in the 2015/16 National Tariff Payment System consultation notice, and relevant spreadsheets.

The Q&A document covers the following issues:

  • enhanced tariff option
  • default tariff rollover
  • mental health
  • marginal rate emergency tariff
  • acute specialised services marginal cost arrangements
  • standard contract and CQUIN (Commissioning for Quality and Innovation)

The latest version of the Q&A document provides further information to help implementation of the Enhanced Tariff Option and Default Tariff Rollover options.

The letter was sent on 18 February to provide information on next year’s NHS funding and contracting round, and set out decisions that needed to be taken by 6 March 2015.
