Details

The new ‘Tech Con’ regulation 2019/1241, repeals Council Regulation 850/98 and some other current Commission Regulations. See Technical Measure background.

The full Landing Obligation (discards ban) came into force on 1 January 2019.

Please see the following guidance notices detailing the specific Tech con gear rules, including certain survival and de minimis exemptions for 2020, which have been separated by certain gear groups and ICES areas.
