The Global Partnership for Action on Gender-Based Online Harassment and Abuse (Global Partnership) brings together 12 countries, including the UK, with support from a multi-disciplinary advisory group. It works to prioritise, understand, prevent, and address technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV).
The Global Partnership aims to increase access to reliable, comparable data and the evidence base on TFGBV, and commissioned this report.
The analysis draws on interviews with over 30 global experts and practitioners, and an evidence review. It describes evidence across core themes including:
- risk and protective factors for experiencing or perpetrating TFGBV
- impacts of TFGBV to people and more broadly in society
The analysis provides an overview of emerging global evidence and highlights research priorities in under-explored areas. It includes Global Partnership priorities to guide its research and data objectives in the coming year, complementing the goals laid out in the Global Partnership 2023 Roadmap.
