If you are selling a sailaway boat to export from the UK to non-EU countries or are an overseas buyer and are using the Sailaway Boat Scheme, you should:

• read the guidance in Sailaway boats supplied for export outside the UK (VAT Notice 703/2) to make sure you meet all the conditions of the scheme
• use form VAT436 to apply
• keep a copy of form VAT436 for your records
