Details

The 2008 guidance explains the Batteries and Accumulators (Placing on the Market) Regulations 2008 and the compliance requirements affecting the design and manufacture of new batteries. It is intended for people selling new batteries or battery-powered appliances in the UK from 26 September 2008.

The 2012 guidance explains the 2012 regulations, which adds a provision to the 2008 regulations about adding the capacity of the battery on its label, effective from 31 May 2012.
