Guidance on the Coal Authority's cost recovery process as a statutory consultee for nationally significant infrastructure projects

Documents

Details

The Coal Authority is a statutory consultee in the planning process, which means we must be notified and consulted on nationally significant infrastructure projects applications to ensure our areas of expertise are reflected within development proposals.

This guidance provides more information on our cost recovery process for these projects and explains how using our optional pre-application service could help ensure a clear understanding of any coal mining features present and associated land stability risks at an early stage.

All enquiries on our involvement with the nationally significant infrastructure project process and our advice fees should be emailed to NSIPsubmissions@coal.gov.uk.
