The Joint Air Quality Unit carried out an investigation into the effectiveness of retrofitted selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology in reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from buses.

This document presents the findings of the investigation. It describes the factors that influence the performance of retrofitted SCR technology and the scope for achieving and maintaining greater performance.
