Details

The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, The Rt Hon Steve Barclay MP, has issued a direction to the Environment Agency. 

The direction is to enable specified back-up gas compressor units in England, with a limited life derogation (LLD), to operate until 30 September 2024 if needed. This is to address energy security issues if they arise, whilst limiting pollution.
