A summary of the project at Presingoll Farm, Cornwall:

  • size: 80 hectare mixed farm with 2.5 hectares of woodland, an orchard and 9 hectares for tree production
  • type: mixed woodland, hedges and tree nursery
  • species: mixed species tree nursery including beech, hawthorn, blackthorn, dog rose, field maple, sycamore, dogwood, oak and wild plum
  • grants: Tree Production Capital Grant and the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund
  • main objective: to create a sustainable farming business built on regenerative farming practices, that incorporates tree production into a diverse crop rotation and provides healthy UK-grown trees
