This review combines evidence from the academic and non-academic literature relating to the net economic impact of publicly funded export promotion services. The review focuses on the types of client-facing export promotion services provided by the Department for International Trade (DIT).
This review includes information about:
- market failures that justify government provision of export promotion services
- the effects of export promotion on exporting behaviour
- firm-level and wider economic outcomes
