Uses Global Entrepreneurship Monitor UK data to explore the media portrayal of entrepreneurs. Considers the effect that the media has on entrepreneurial attitudes, aspirations and activity. Develops a model of entrepreneurial activity that suggests that activity reflects both cultural norms and values and the feasibility of action which is influenced by both perceptions and prevalence of entrepreneurial skills.
