Details

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) completed a review of the Insolvency Service. The ALB review was part of the government’s Public Bodies Reform Programme. It was started in August 2022 and concluded in November 2022.

The review considered the effectiveness of the Insolvency Service in meeting its objectives and, following consideration of the findings, 7 recommendations were identified.

The scope of the review included:

  • efficacy
  • efficiency
  • governance
  • accountability

The Insolvency Service is now under the sponsorship of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) following the February 2023 Machinery of Government changes.
