In April 2024, the National Living Wage will increase to £11.44. We expect this to mean the highest rate of the minimum wage reaches two-thirds of median earnings, achieving a target first set by the Government in 2020.
In March 2023, the Government asked the Low Pay Commission to prepare advice to inform future decisions over minimum wage policy, beyond the two-thirds target. The report published here sets out the LPC’s advice on that question. It was submitted to the Government in December 2023. It has been published alongside our remit for 2024.
The rates of the National Minimum Wage , including the National Living Wage, which will apply from April 2024 are set out below.
