In July the Home Secretary announced a review of the police disciplinary system, chaired by Major-General Chip Chapman CB, an independent former Army officer.

This document is the final report of the Chapman Review. It supports the consultation on improving police integrity. The consultation seeks views on:

  • reform of the police disciplinary system recommended by Major-General Chapman
  • reform of the police complaints system
  • further measures to protect police whistleblowers
