To reduce or maintain the low prevalence of Salmonellas of public health significance in fattening and adult breeding turkey flocks on holdings in the UK.

The programme aims to met the target level set out in Regulation (EC) No 584/2008 which is a maximum percentage of fattening and adult breeding turkey flocks remaining positive for Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Typhimurium to 1% or less by 31 December 2012.
