As a party to the Paris Agreement on climate change, the UK submitted its first Adaptation Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on 12 December 2020. This report sets out what the UK is doing to prepare for the effects of climate change at home and to support those facing impacts overseas.

As well as the UK’s Adaptation Communication, which focuses on action the UK is taking to adapt to climate change, the UK is also publishing its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and a Finance Biennial Communication. Taken together, these demonstrate the mitigation, adaptation, and finance pillars of the Paris Agreement.
