Details

The Ministry of Justice coordinates the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) for the United Kingdom.

On 4 May 2017, the UK participated in a dialogue with the United Nations (UN) in Geneva during which it received 227 recommendations from other UN Member States. The UK response to these recommendations is in two parts: one part summarising the UK position on each recommendation, and the follow up process; and an annex setting out the rationale for the response to each recommendation.

General information on the UPR process is available on the United Nations website.

All official documents, including this response, on the third UPR of the UK are expected to be published on the United Nations website.
