  1. 2,930 Tier 4 licenses were issued as at 31 December 2013.

    The number of Tier 4 licences issued does not equate to the number of sponsors that currently hold an active sponsor licence. The figure given includes licences which have subsequently been surrendered/revoked. Some sponsors will have been issued with more than one unique sponsor license number, for example when the license has been reinstated (during/following litigation) or the sponsor has successfully reapplied after revocation/surrendering.

  2. 989 Tier 4 licenses were suspended to 31 December 2013.

  3. 716 Tier 4 licenses have been revoked to 31 December 2013. Revocation numbers include licences that have subsequently been reinstated because of new information or litigation action.

    The figures quoted are not provided under National Statistics protocols and have been derived from local management information and are therefore provisional and subject to change.
