The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from RIG Scorrier Ltd.

1.16.1.2   1.16.4   1.16.14 The application is for a substantial variation to the permit to add the following activities:

Waste washing to produce aggregate products and recovery of waste by installing state-of -the-art wash plant which is also capable of safely treating contaminated/hazardous soils.

Expand list of wastes that can be accepted to the site for storage and treatment including contaminated soils.

Allow wastes containing asbestos for secure storage only.

Increase annual throughout to 350,000 tonnes per annum.

Change site layout, drainage and infrastructure to accommodate changes.
