The fast track opposition process is intended to benefit business by improving access to opposition proceedings at a cost proportionate to the complexity and value of the matter at stake. The fast track opposition procedure provides a faster, cheaper and less complicated way for business to protect their trade marks.
The costs awarded in Fast Track Oppositions are capped at £500 (excluding official fees). Further information can be found in Tribunal Practice Notice 2/2015.
Any person who wishes to lodge a fast track opposition should file a Notice of Opposition using the form TM7F with the appropriate fee of £100 to accompany the form.
