Details

The countervailing duty on biodiesel originating from the United States of America (USA) (including biodiesel products consigned from Canada) was imposed by the European Union (EU) on behalf of the UK and the other member states. The Secretary of State for International Trade transitioned the countervailing duty to continue applying in the UK after the transition period.

The Secretary of State for Business and Trade is publishing this notice under subsection 13(4) of the Taxation (Cross-Border Trade) Act 2018 and regulation 70(10) of the Trade Remedies (Dumping and Subsidisation) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. This extended the application of the existing duties for the duration of the expiry review of imports of biodiesel products originating from the USA (including biodiesel products consigned from Canada), conducted by the Trade Remedies Authority.
