Applies to England

Details

If you follow the conditions in this regulatory position statement (RPS) you can use statistical modelling to demonstrate the polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) content of transformers, so that you can:

  • continue to hold transformers containing PCBs after 31 December 2025
  • deregister (where applicable) transformers that are classed as ‘contaminated equipment’

We will review and update this RPS no later than early 2026.
