Tree health pilot scheme: grant funding agreement and terms and conditions

  1. Edit to Annex 2 (2.5) in T&Cs from July 2026: changed "...the Lead Facilitator may claim for planning and supervisory work..." to "...the Lead Facilitator must claim for planning and supervisory work...".

  2. Added new terms and conditions commencing from 20 July 2026. Updated when the obligation period commences for trees outside woodlands and trees inside woodlands, and when maintenance payments are available. In 'Annex 2A', updated when the grant funding period will expire under point 1.2. In 'Grant funded activities', added new point 4.17.2 that all susceptible material within an agreement must be felled and claimed for before any subsequent THP applications will be considered.

  3. Added new terms of conditions commencing from 16 March 2026. For agreements made after this date, all susceptible material must be included in felling applications unless otherwise agreed with the Forestry Commission.

  4. Removed clarification to section 4.15 under 'Grant funded activities' that all susceptible material must be included in felling applications unless otherwise agreed with the Forestry Commission. This does not apply to grant agreements made from 27 November 2025 onwards as previously stated.

  6. Added new terms of conditions commencing from 27 November 2025.

  7. Terms and conditions (from 2 December 2024) updated to show changes to lead facilitator role. The lead facilitator will no longer be the single agreement holder for the group. They will need to submit an application form for each group member, including themselves. Each group member will have their own agreement with the Forestry Commission and receive their grant funding directly. Also link added to National Archives for previous terms and conditions.
