Triennial Review of the Veterinary Products Committee

Details

The Cabinet Office requires Non-Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs) to be reviewed every 3 years by their parent department. The Triennial Review of the Veterinary Products Committee (VPC) was launched on 26 March 2013.

The review concluded that the VPC’s independent scientific and technical advisory functions remain important, that the VPC is best placed to carry out these functions and that it should remain as an advisory NDPB. There were no recommendations for major change made by this review.

The report of the review is accompanied by a full assessment of the body’s compliance with the principles of good corporate governance.
