The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Redcar Holdings Limited.

New bespoke permit for the pre-treatment and incineration of mixed non-hazardous waste and for the treatment of slags and ashes. Environmental Permitting Regulations scheduled activity references: Section 5.1 Part A(1) (b), Section 5.4 Part A(1) (b) (ii) and Section 5.4 Part A(1) (b) (iii).

  • proposed operating techniques, including an assessment of best available techniques

  • modelling and monitoring of any significant emissions to air, land or water

  • raw material usage and measures for energy efficiency and avoiding waste production
