Published 25 October 2021
The Secretary of State for International Trade received the Republic of Uzbekistan’s application to the Enhanced Framework on 24 April 2021 and, after an assessment, has determined that it has met the criteria in regulation 15(1)(a) to (c) of the Trade Preference Scheme (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/1438) and that country does not need to take further steps.
The Secretary of State for International Trade is satisfied that the Republic of Uzbekistan meets the UK’s economic vulnerability criteria and that it has ratified and is effectively implementing the Schedule 2 conventions.
