Details

This notice suspends certain countries from receiving preferential rates of import duty under the UK’s Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP). From 1 December 2021 another suspension notice suspends Ghana, Kenya and Jordan.

This is because the UK has agreed an alternative trade arrangement with these countries.

  • which countries this notice suspends from the UK’s GSP
  • when the suspension will start and end
  • why these countries have been suspended

Read this notice if you are:

  • based in the UK and import goods from a GSP beneficiary country
  • based in a GSP beneficiary country and export goods to the UK
