UK-Morocco inaugural Ministerial Association Council: joint communique

The UK and Morocco agreed a joint communique during the inaugural meeting of the UK-Morocco Association Council in London in December 2021.

Details

The UK Foreign Secretary, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa and Minister for International Trade met with the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister for Trade and Investment. They discussed developing the strategic partnership between the UK and Morocco, and further conversations took place as part of the Strategic Dialogue.

The 2 countries reaffirmed their commitment to deepen economic, security and cultural ties, whilst supporting each other to tackle climate change and build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic.
