The Delivery Plan sets out the current government portfolio of net zero research and innovation programmes.
Government will invest over £4 billion from 2022 to 2025 (with further investment from Ofgem) to help develop the next generation of technologies and solutions needed to deliver the UK’s net zero target and to support innovative UK businesses to benefit from the growing global green economy.
The government’s portfolio addresses challenges outlined in the UK’s Net Zero Research and Innovation Framework published in October 2021. Together, the Framework and Delivery Plan aim to provide transparency to the private sector and research community on areas of government priority for net zero innovation investment.
