UK-Netherlands Strategic Dialogue 2022: joint statement on foreign, development and security bilateral cooperation

At the first UK-Netherlands Strategic Dialogue, the Foreign Secretary and Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation.

Details

The UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra met for the inaugural UK-Netherlands Strategic Dialogue. The meeting took place on 16 November 2022 in London, in the margins of the North Sea Neighbours bilateral conference.

The dialogue agreed shared priorities for our foreign, security and development relationship in the years ahead. The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to defending freedom, maintaining European security and upholding the rules-based international order.
