Details

The HPValidate study was commissioned after the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) recommended that more evidence should be collected on the potential of human papillomavirus (HPV) self-sampling to improve engagement with the NHS Cervical Screening Programme.

The study aimed to see how accurate vaginal self-taken samples are compared to clinician-taken samples in the NHS Cervical Screening Programme in England.
