This meeting provided recommendations on screening for the following fetal, maternal and child health (FMCH) conditions:
- tyrosinaemia in newborns (evidence review and further modelling work)
- autism spectrum disorder (evidence summary)
- prevention and prediction of pre-eclampsia (evidence summary)
- iron deficiency in children (evidence map)
- human T-cell lymphotropic virus (HTLV) in antenatal period (evidence map)
The committee also discussed the expanded remit of the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) and adoption of the Chief Medical Officers’ recommendations.
