Details

This document sets out the rationale used by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Scottish and Welsh Governments (the appropriate authorities) to identify priorities for regulatory action under the UK REACH work programme for the 2023 to 2024 financial year.

It provides:

  • a rationale for each of the agreed priorities for regulatory action in 2023 to 2024
  • the reasons why other proposals were not adopted as priorities for the 2023 to 2024 programme

The appropriate authorities have consulted with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Environment Agency and other stakeholders to set the priorities for the annual UK REACH work programme.
