Details
The UKSF Skills and Training Scheme funds projects that improve the quality and range of training for the catching, processing, aquaculture and recreational angling sectors.
Round 1
In the first round of the UKSF Skills and Training Scheme, £1.1 million was awarded to 7 new projects that will pilot new courses and expand the regional coverage of existing training. This was made up of:
- £475,000 awarded to 3 projects in Scotland
- £636,000 awarded to 4 projects in England
Round 2
In the second round just under £3.8 million was awarded to 4 projects. This will be used to fund building new and improving existing training facilities for the seafood industry. This was made up of:
- £185,000 awarded to 1 project in England
- £3.1 million awarded to 2 projects in Scotland
- £451,000 awarded to 1 project in Northern Ireland
